I love MATH!

I want every student I teach to appreciate math. I have a poster in my room that says Math is everywhere, and I believe it. I feel that math is one of the greatest gifts God gave us. Without it civilization could not have come as far as we have come. Recently I talked to a Koi pond expert and he did not realize how much his business relied on math. He had never really stopped to think about how almost everything he does involved math.

My goal is to make my class seem like it is not a "math" class, but a "problem solving" class. I want my students to see the math as a tool to solve problems. I want them to be excited to see how math can solve real life problems.

About myself.

This is my first time writing a blog.  I have a lovely wife and five adorable children. I love God, Jesus, my wife, my children, my relatives, my church, my friends, my job, and math. I am a math teacher at Ironwood High school. I want the best for my students, and I want to always work on improving myself to be a better teacher. And of coarse I want to be the best father, husband, son, and follower of Christ that I can be.
